Bulk decoupling with the right ESR budget
The TAJC686M010RNJ: The 1.3 Ohm ESR is the number that matters for ripple current — at 100 kHz the capacitor's self-heating is set by I² × ESR, so the ripple current rating is implicit in that resistance. A lower ESR would handle more ripple, but this value is typical for a C-case tantalum and works for moderate ripple on a linear regulator output or a DC-DC input filter.
That puts it in avionics power supplies, outdoor telecom line cards, and under-hood automotive modules where the ambient hits 105°C and the capacitor sees the full range. The molded case (Type Molded) gives mechanical stability over that span — no conformal-coat compatibility issues.
