Capacitance, voltage, and ESR — the BOM-fit check
The TAJC476M006SNJ: This is a 47 µF, 6.3 V rated molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, tolerance ±20%. The 1.6 Ohm ESR at 6.3 V sets the ripple current ceiling: at 100 kHz, the cap can handle roughly 300 mA RMS before self-heating pushes the core temperature above the 125 °C limit.
At 125 °C the leakage current rises per the standard tantalum derating curve, but the capacitance tolerance and ESR are specified across the whole range.
Package and footprint — board-level fit
The 2312 (6032 Metric) case measures 6.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 2.80 mm max. This is the industry-standard C-size tantalum outline; the pad layout matches the common footprint used by AVX, Kemet, and Vishay C-case parts.
