47 µF at 10 V — the BOM fit check
The TAJC476K010TNJ: This is a 47 µF ±10% molded tantalum capacitor rated at 10 V, in the TAJ series from KYOCERA AVX. The capacitance and voltage are the first two numbers a buyer checks against the BOM line — 47 µF at 10 V is a common decoupling and bulk storage value for 3.3 V and 5 V rails in automotive and industrial PCBs.
ESR and the decoupling decision
ESR is 1.2 Ohm at 100 kHz — this sets the ripple voltage across the capacitor for a given ripple current. For a switching regulator output filtering 500 mA ripple, the ripple voltage is roughly 600 mV; if the load needs tighter regulation, a lower-ESR polymer or ceramic in parallel is the typical fix.
