Surface-mount reflow assembly — the molded body handles standard lead-free profiles without cracking, though the 1.4 Ohm ESR means ripple current generates internal heat that must be budgeted against the 125 °C ceiling.
Rated voltage and tolerance margin
35 V rated voltage gives roughly 2:1 derating on a 12 V rail and 1.4:1 on a 24 V bus — typical tantalum practice keeps applied voltage below two-thirds of rated to reduce field-failure risk.
Active production — no obsolescence watch
The TAJ series is a long-running molded tantalum family; the part can be designed into new builds without a near-term migration plan.
