Case B footprint and board fit
It uses the size code B package, which measures 3.50 mm x 2.80 mm with a seated height of 2.10 mm max. That footprint matches the standard 1411 (3528 Metric) land pattern — a common size for decoupling on dense PCBs, though the 0.110-inch width means the pad layout must clear adjacent components on a tight grid.
Rated 6.8 µF ±10% at 10 V, the TAJB685K010A covers the common bulk-decoupling slot for a 3.3 V or 5 V rail where the derating rule (50% of rated voltage for tantalum) leaves 5 V headroom. That ESR also defines the impedance floor on the rail; a lower-ESR tantalum or MLCC would improve transient response if the circuit is edge-rate sensitive.
