It belongs on a BOM for engine-control modules, transmission sensors, or infotainment power rails where the ambient hits 105°C and the capacitor must not drift out of spec.
Lifetime is specified at 2000 hours at 125°C — the maximum rated temperature. For a part sitting near a 90°C heatsink in an under-hood ECU, the actual service life is longer because the capacitor sees lower temperature. Derate the voltage by 20% at 125°C to stay inside the safe operating area; KYOCERA AVX application notes recommend 50% derating for maximum reliability in continuous high-temp use. ESR is 2.4 Ohm at 100 kHz. That is the AC resistance the capacitor presents to ripple current. In a 500 kHz buck converter output filter, this ESR contributes to the output voltage ripple — budget the ripple current squared times ESR for the self-heating calculation. The 2.4 Ohm figure is typical; the datasheet maximum is higher, so use the max value for worst-case thermal analysis.
