Molded tantalum decoupling for 20 V rails
The TAJB225J020RNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, rated at 2.2 µF with ±5% tolerance and a 20 V voltage rating. The B case size (1411 / 3528 metric) fits standard 1210 pads, so the footprint matches many general-purpose tantalum layouts.
The molded construction handles thermal cycling better than conformal-coated parts — the epoxy case matches the board's CTE more closely, reducing solder-joint stress over repeated -40°C to 125°C cycles.
The TAJ series is widely second-sourced by Kemet and Vishay, so a pin-compatible alternative exists if the KYOCERA AVX line goes on allocation.
