900 mOhm ESR — the self-heating and ripple trade-off
With 900 mOhm equivalent series resistance, this part dissipates 0.09 W at 100 mA ripple current. The B case (3.50 mm x 2.80 mm x 2.10 mm) limits thermal mass, so sustained ripple above 200 mA may push the part beyond its self-heating limit — budget the ripple current against the ESR and ambient temperature.
Capacitance drift with temperature is typical for tantalum — expect ~10-15% change across the full range.
