Temperature range and derating for tantalum
Tantalum capacitors require voltage derating for reliable operation: a common guideline is to apply no more than 80% of the rated voltage at 85°C and further derate above that. At 10 V rated, a 8 V or lower rail is a safe design target for long-term field reliability.
