TAJA475K016H is a molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, rated 4.7 µF at 16 V with ±10% tolerance. The 4 Ohm ESR at 100 kHz is the limiting factor for ripple current — at 16 V and 85 °C, the capacitor can handle roughly 0.32 A ripple before self-heating exceeds the derating curve.
It suits avionics, satellite, downhole drilling, and missile guidance systems where the ambient temperature swings across the full military envelope. The molded case and surface-mount 1206 footprint (3.20 mm x 1.60 mm, 1.80 mm seated height) fit standard reflow profiles and conformal-coated assemblies.
