Molded tantalum construction and TAJ series fit
With a capacitance of 0.33 µF and a rated voltage of 35 V, it suits bypass duty on rails where the margin above nominal keeps the part well within its derating curve. The 1206 (3216 Metric) footprint is a widely used size; the 0.126" x 0.063" (3.20 mm x 1.60 mm) body and 0.071" (1.80 mm) seated height fit standard pick-and-place and reflow profiles.
ESR and ripple-current implications for the BOM
The 15 Ohm ESR is relatively high for a tantalum capacitor of this value — it limits the ripple-current capability and means the part is better suited for low-frequency decoupling or timing circuits than for high-ripple power-supply outputs. At 35 V, the voltage derating factor for tantalum leaves a comfortable working margin; the part can be used on rails without approaching the rated limit.
