The TAJA225M010UNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, rated 2.2 µF at 10 V with ±20% tolerance. The 1206 (3216 Metric) case size and surface-mount package fit standard pick-and-place assembly. For an under-hood ECU that sees 105°C ambient, the 125°C rating provides margin.
ESR is 7 ohm at 100 kHz. For a 2.2 µF decoupling cap on a 10 V rail, the ripple current at 100 kHz is limited by self-heating — the 7 ohm floor means this part is suited for filtering and bypass, not for high-ripple bulk storage.
