15 µF at 10 V — bulk decoupling for a 10 V rail
It sits in the TAJ series from KYOCERA AVX, a general-purpose line for surface-mount designs. The 1206 case (3.20 mm x 1.60 mm) is a common footprint for board-level bulk decoupling or output filtering on a 10 V rail.
3.2 Ohm ESR — ripple and thermal budget
The 3.2 Ohm ESR is on the higher side for a 15 µF tantalum. In a switching regulator output, that ESR adds ripple voltage — at 100 mA ripple current, expect 320 mV of ripple across the cap. The self-heating from that ripple also raises the internal temperature, so derate voltage or current if the ambient is near the 125 °C ceiling.
It is a standard molded tantalum in the TAJ series — a mature, long-running family that typically stays available for years.
