1.5 µF at 10 V — decoupling and filtering fit
The TAJA155M010RNJ: This is a 1.5 µF molded tantalum chip rated at 10 V with ±20% tolerance, in the standard 1206 (3216 metric) footprint. The 10 Ohm ESR at 100 kHz sets the ripple current ceiling — for a 100 kHz buck converter output, the ripple voltage across this cap is ESR × ripple current, so a 100 mA ripple produces 1 V pk-pk. The 1206 case keeps the board footprint small, but the ESR is higher than a larger-case tantalum or a ceramic would deliver.
The 2000-hour endurance at 125°C is typical for tantalum; derate the voltage by 50% at the high end to stay within the reliability envelope.
