The TAJA106M006HNJ is a 10 µF, 6.3 V molded tantalum capacitor in the 1206 (3216 Metric) case size, part of the TAJ series from KYOCERA AVX. The 6.3 V rating comfortably covers 3.3 V and 5 V supply rails with derating margin; for a 3.3 V rail the applied voltage is roughly half the rated voltage, which keeps the DC bias derating negligible.
Temperature range and lifetime in harsh environments
The lifetime is specified at 2000 hours at 125°C. In a 105°C ambient the expected life roughly doubles per 10°C drop below the rated temperature, so a board running at 85°C can expect well over 10,000 hours of operation before the capacitor reaches its wear-out limit.
