Molded tantalum in a 1206 footprint
Rated 10 µF at 10 V with ±10% tolerance, it carries a 3 Ohm ESR — the ESR figure sets the ripple current ceiling and the self-heating under AC load; for a 10 V rail with 100 mV ripple, the ripple current stays under 33 mA RMS before the internal temperature rise becomes a concern.
The 1206 case is reflow-solderable; the molded body gives consistent dimensional tolerance for pick-and-place. No special bake-out is required for MSL 1-rated tantalums, but the reel label should be checked for moisture sensitivity level before reflow.
The TAJ series is a broad portfolio, so a higher-voltage or lower-ESR sibling (e.g., TAJA106K016RNJ for 16 V) may be a drop-in if the board has clearance for the same case size.
