Capacitance and voltage for hold-up duty
The SCCR20B335PRTLE: Rated 3.3 F at 2.7 V, this supercapacitor stores enough energy to bridge a few-second power gap in a microcontroller or RTC backup circuit — think ride-through for a meter or IoT sensor that needs to log data before the main rail drops. The 60 mOhm ESR at 1 kHz sets the peak current the cap can deliver without significant internal heating — useful for a brief pulse load, but not a high-frequency ripple filter where a lower-ESR electrolytic would be the better call.
Package and board-fit
Through-hole radial can, 8.00 mm diameter, 21.50 mm seated height, with 3.50 mm lead spacing — fits a standard 0.138-inch pitch footprint on a single-sided board. The tray packaging means it ships loose, not taped, so hand-insertion or low-volume assembly is the norm. Operating temperature from -40°C to 65°C, with a rated lifetime of 2000 hours at 65°C — derate the lifetime at lower ambient; at 40°C the cap lasts significantly longer, but it is not a 105°C-rated part.
