64-LQFP exposed-pad package and board integration
The XMC1402F064X0064AAXUMA1 ships in a 64-LQFP exposed-pad package (PG-LQFP-64-6).
The ARM Cortex-M0 core runs at 48 MHz, which sets the ceiling for control-loop update rates — a 10 kHz current loop with a 12-bit ADC read, PI calculation, and PWM update leaves roughly 4800 cycles per iteration, enough headroom for the math without pushing into wait-state overhead from the 64 KB flash. The 16 KB SRAM (16K x 8) holds up to 4096 32-bit variables or a 4 KB DMA buffer for the I²S audio stream.
Peripheral set for sensor and actuator control
On-chip peripherals include a 12-channel 12-bit ADC, four 16-bit timers with PWM generation, and a window watchdog timer. The 48 GPIOs map to the 64-pin package, leaving 16 pins for the exposed-pad thermal connection and supply/ground pairs.
