Supply range and output architecture
The TLF35584QVHS2XUMA1: The 3 V minimum input allows the PMIC to stay regulated through a cold-crank event where the 12 V battery dips below 4 V; the 40 V maximum handles load-dump transients without an external clamp, as the internal FET's abs-max rating covers the surge. Eight independent output rails provide flexibility for powering an MCU core, I/O, CAN transceiver, sensor supply, and auxiliary peripherals from a single PMIC — reducing the discrete regulator count on the board.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly with the exposed paddle means the reflow profile must ensure adequate solder wetting on the center pad — a voided thermal joint raises the junction temperature and reduces the 175°C margin.
