CAN transceiver for 5V automotive buses
The Infineon TLE9252VLCXUMA1 is a half-duplex CAN transceiver rated for 5 Mbps data rate, designed for 5V CAN bus systems in automotive environments. The receiver hysteresis of 30 mV provides noise immunity on the bus lines, which matters when the CAN bus runs through a noisy vehicle harness.
5 Mbps bus speed and supply range
The 5 Mbps data rate supports CAN FD (flexible data-rate) frames, which is the current-generation CAN protocol used in automotive gateways and domain controllers. The supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V means it runs directly from a standard 5V automotive rail — no external regulator needed as long as the rail stays within that window. The single driver/receiver pair handles one CAN node, so a multi-node bus needs one transceiver per ECU.
Wettable flank package for AOI inspection
The PG-TSON-14-3 package includes wettable flanks, which allow automated optical inspection of the solder joints after reflow. The surface-mount, wettable-flank mounting type means the part passes through standard SMT lines without special handling.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant.
