Current sensing for 120 A rails
The Infineon TLE4971A120N5UE0001XUMA1 is a single-channel, bidirectional current sensor in a PG-TISON-8 surface-mount package, rated for ±120 A AC or DC sensing with a ratiometric voltage output. The 210 kHz bandwidth means it captures switching ripple and load transients in motor-drive or power-converter feedback loops, not just the DC average.
Supply and temperature range for the BOM
Operates from a 3.1 V to 3.5 V supply rail, drawing a maximum of 25 mA — compatible with a 3.3 V regulated bus in an industrial or automotive control board. Rated for -40°C to +125°C ambient, so it handles under-hood engine-bay temperatures or outdoor enclosure heat soak without derating the sensing accuracy.
Package and assembly considerations
The 8-PowerTDFN (PG-TISON-8) package has an exposed thermal pad that must be soldered to a copper plane for heat sinking — the pad carries no electrical signal but is the primary thermal path. Available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape options, so the same order code covers both volume reflow and prototype hand-assembly quantities.
Sourcing and lifecycle status
Sourced to order against the BOM; current pricing and lead time confirmed at RFQ through independent and authorized distribution.
