Automotive Hall latch with 4.1 mT switching threshold
The TLE4966V1GHTSA1 is a magnetic switch latch from Infineon's automotive-grade TLE4966 series, qualified to AEC-Q100. It switches output state at a magnetic flux density of 4.1 mT (trip) and releases at -4.1 mT. Rated for a supply voltage of 3.5 V, it operates directly from a 3.3 V rail without a regulator, simplifying the power tree in automotive ECUs or industrial controllers. The junction temperature range spans -40°C to 150°C, covering under-hood, transmission, and brake-system environments where standard commercial sensors would drift or fail.
Temperature-compensated latch for harsh environments
The device includes temperature compensation to stabilise the switching thresholds across the full -40°C to 150°C range, so the 4.1 mT trip point does not shift with engine heat or cold-soak. Output type is a latch — the output remains in the switched state until the opposite magnetic polarity is applied, making it suitable for brushless DC motor commutation or speed sensing where a clean edge per pole pair is needed. Polarisation is bidirectional, meaning the sensor responds to both north and south poles, which simplifies magnet orientation during assembly.
