Why the temperature range matters for this latch
The TLE49613MXTSA1 is a south-pole sensitive Hall-effect latch with an open-drain output, rated from -40°C to 170°C. That upper limit is unusual for a SOT23-3 package — it means the die and the plastic compound are qualified for engine-bay or exhaust-adjacent positions where standard 125°C parts would drift off their trip points. The magnetic switching is specified at 25°C: a 10.4 mT operate point and -10.4 mT release. The temperature compensation keeps the magnetic thresholds stable across the full range, so the latch does not lose its hysteresis when the ambient climbs.
The device runs on a 3 V supply and sinks 2.5 mA switching current with a maximum output current of 25 mA. The open-drain output lets you pull up to a higher rail — useful if the downstream controller runs at 5 V — but the latch itself is a 3 V part, so confirm the pull-up voltage does not exceed the absolute maximum of the output transistor.
