What the bipolar switch and dual-pole detection mean for your application
The TLE4928C-NE6947 is an Infineon magnetic switch speed sensor that uses a bipolar switch timing function — it toggles its output state on alternating magnetic field polarity, making it suited for detecting rotational speed or direction from a ferromagnetic target wheel. It responds to both North Pole and South Pole magnetization, so the sensor can be triggered by either pole of a passing magnet without requiring a specific orientation in the assembly.
Through-hole package and bulk format — integration reality
The through-hole mounting means the sensor is hand-solderable and fits standard PCB layouts without reflow profile concerns — a practical advantage for prototype runs, rework, or low-volume production where SMD assembly is not justified. Supplied in Bulk packaging, the parts are loose in a tube or bag rather than on a reel — expect to handle and place them manually or with a tube feeder, not a pick-and-place reel feeder.
