128 Mbit parallel NOR Flash for firmware storage
The Infineon (Cypress) S29GL128S10TFI020 is a 128 Mbit parallel NOR Flash memory from the GL-S series, organized as 8M x 16 bits. It is designed for code shadowing, firmware storage, and configuration data in embedded systems that require fast random-read access and reliable non-volatile storage.
For a microcontroller or FPGA with a parallel memory interface, this spec determines whether wait states are needed. At a typical 50 MHz bus (20 ns period), five wait states are required per read — the host must budget that latency. The 60 ns write cycle time (word/page) is separate: it governs the program pulse width, not the read path.
Industrial temperature range covers outdoor and factory gear
The -40°C low end means it boots reliably in cold-start conditions — no need for a heater or derating at -20°C.
Supplied in a 56-TSOP (TFSOP) package, 18.40 mm wide, surface-mount. The 56-pin footprint is common across the GL-S family, so a board layout can often accommodate density upgrades by swapping the BOM line without a PCB revision.
