The S29GL064S70TFA010: Organized as 8M x 8 or 4M x 16, it connects directly to an MCU or MPU external bus with a 70 ns access time — fast enough for code-shadowing and parameter storage without wait-state penalties on most 32-bit controllers.
Supply rails and read performance
Runs from 2.7V to 3.6V — a single 3.3V rail with ±10% tolerance keeps it inside the window with margin for ripple. The 70 ns access time is the ceiling for random reads; page-mode reads at 60 ns per word reduce the effective cycle time for sequential code fetch. Write cycle time is 60 ns per word or page — the limiting factor for firmware updates is the sector erase time (not in this spec), but the page program buffer lets you write 256 bytes per operation without polling between bytes.
