8 Mbit parallel NOR flash, 55 ns access
The S29AL008J55TFNR10 is an 8 Mbit parallel NOR flash from Infineon's AL-J series, organized as 1M x 8 or 512K x 16 via a hardware byte-mode pin. The 55 ns access time means the memory delivers a read word within a single 18 MHz bus cycle — fast enough to keep an ARM Cortex-M core fed from XIP without wait states at moderate clock rates.
Housed in a 48-TFSOP (0.724" body width, 18.40 mm) with the supplier device package designated 48-TSOP. The 0.5 mm pin pitch and standard TSOP footprint means it reuses the same PCB land pattern as many other 48-pin parallel NOR flash parts — a layout already proven for the S29AL series or compatible AMIC/AIC flash devices needs no change. Supplied in tray packaging, not tape-and-reel. For automated pick-and-place, the tray format is standard for TSOP devices; if your line is set up for reel-fed only, a tray-to-reel transfer is straightforward at the distributor or CM.
