The Infineon S25FL512SDPMFIG13 is a 512 Mbit NOR flash memory from the FL-S series, organized as 64M x 8 bits. It uses the SPI Quad I/O interface, which allows four data lines to operate simultaneously, delivering higher read throughput than standard SPI while keeping the pin count low. NOR flash is suited for code-shadowing and execute-in-place (XIP) applications where random-access read performance matters more than raw density. The 66 MHz clock frequency sets the maximum data rate; with Quad I/O, the effective throughput reaches 264 Mbps in fast-read mode.
