512 Mbit NOR flash in a 16-SOIC body
The S25FL512SAGMFV013 is a 512 Mbit SPI NOR flash from Infineon's FL-S series, organized as 64M x 8 bits. It communicates over a quad-I/O SPI bus at up to 133 MHz, which gives the firmware a fast read path for XiP (eXecute-in-Place) or shadow-to-RAM boot flows.
Housed in a 16-SOIC wide-body (7.50 mm width), the S25FL512SAGMFV013 uses a standard footprint that places cleanly on a two-layer board. The 0.295-inch body width matches the JEDEC MO-119 outline, so the land pattern is shared across multiple NOR flash suppliers — a useful hedge if a second-source qualification is on the roadmap. Supplied on Tape and Reel (TR), the part feeds directly into an automatic pick-and-place without a reel change. The wide SOIC package has good coplanarity and a low tombstoning risk at standard reflow profiles; check the MSL level on the reel label before the bake decision.
