256 Mbit NOR Flash in a 24-ball BGA — what this part is
It is supplied in a 24-ball BGA (6x8 mm) package for surface-mount assembly.
At 133 MHz in quad-I/O mode the device delivers a theoretical 532 Mbps read throughput. That is enough to feed a Cortex-M or low-end application processor without a separate parallel NOR bus. For designs that boot from SPI Flash or stream compressed assets, this clock speed keeps the CPU fed without wait-state bottlenecks. The interface is SPI-compatible, so it works with any MCU or SoC that has a quad-SPI controller.
Industrial temperature range — deployment scope
It is not qualified for extended automotive under-hood environments (typically 125°C or higher). For a motor drive or base station that sees seasonal extremes but not engine-bay heat, the temperature grade is adequate.
