AEC-Q100 NOR flash for automotive code storage
The 133 MHz Quad-SPI interface on the S25FL128SAGNFA000 reads at 133 MHz in quad mode.
The 133 MHz clock rate on the SPI bus is the figure that determines read bandwidth. In Quad I/O mode the part delivers a sustained read throughput of roughly 66 MB/s, which is enough to feed an ARM Cortex-M7 or a high-end MCU executing code-in-place without stalling.
The AEC-Q100 qualification means it has passed the full automotive stress suite (preconditioning, HTOL, TC, HAST, etc.) and is acceptable for under-hood and cabin-domain ECUs.
Package and footprint — 8-WSON with exposed pad
The part is surface-mount only; hand-soldering is possible with a hot-air station and a fine tip, but the exposed pad makes rework trickier than a standard SOIC.
