The S25FL128LAGNFI011 communicates over a SPI bus with Quad I/O and QPI support, clocked at 133 MHz.
133 MHz Quad I/O — what it means for read throughput
The 133 MHz clock rate combined with Quad I/O (four data lines) gives a theoretical peak read throughput of 532 Mbps. In practice, the controller overhead and command latency reduce that, but it still delivers fast code shadowing or XIP (eXecute-In-Place) performance for a 128 Mbit device. The QPI mode reduces the command overhead by using a single-wire command phase, which helps when the host controller supports it. If your design uses a single SPI (1-bit) interface, the part still works — you just leave the extra pins unconnected — but you lose the speed advantage.
Package and thermal: 8-WSON with exposed pad
That means no last-time-buy notice is in effect, and the part remains qualified for new designs. Infineon continues to manufacture the FL-L series, so the supply channel is stable through authorized and independent distributors.
