The 108 MHz clock frequency on the SPI bus, combined with Quad I/O and QPI support, gives this part a read throughput that keeps a modern MCU fed during XIP (execute-in-place) or fast firmware copy to RAM. At that speed the bus timing margin is comfortable for a 3.3 V domain, but the layout engineer should keep the SPI traces short and matched — a few picoseconds of skew at 108 MHz can eat into setup time.
