PCM time-slot assigner in a 44-LCC J-Lead package
The Infineon PEB2054NV1.0-EPIC is a PCM Interface Controller — essentially a time-slot assigner for TDM voice/data channels in telecom and ISDN equipment. It handles the 4-Wire Serial, ISDN, and PCM interface protocols, routing individual time slots between the serial stream and the system backplane.
5 V supply — what it tells you about the system
If your BOM already carries a 5 V supply for line drivers or codecs, the PEB2054NV1.0-EPIC drops right in. If the rest of the board is 3.3 V, you will need a separate 5 V regulator — and the 9.5 mA supply current is modest enough that a small LDO can handle it.
Commercial temperature range — indoor use only
It is not specified for outdoor cabinets, factory floors, or automotive under-hood locations.
44-LCC J-Lead — footprint and rework considerations
The 44-LCC (J-Lead) package is a surface-mount ceramic or plastic leaded chip carrier with J-bend leads on 1.27 mm pitch. It is a through-hole-solderable SMD — the J-Lead gives a visible solder joint for inspection and is more forgiving of thermal cycling than a QFP, but the footprint is specific. If your board was laid out for a PLCC-44, this part is a direct fit. The supplier device package is P-LCC-44-1. The shipping medium is Tube.
