XENSIV absolute pressure sensor — what it is and where it fits
The Infineon KP216H1416 is a board-mount absolute pressure sensor from the XENSIV family, delivering an amplified, temperature-compensated analog voltage output proportional to absolute pressure. It covers a 7.25 PSI to 21.76 PSI (50 kPa to 150 kPa) range.
Output signal and supply — what the ratings mean for the BOM
The analog output swings from 0.5 V at the low end of the pressure range to 4.5 V at the high end, referenced to a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply. That ratiometric relationship means the ADC reference should track the sensor supply to avoid offset errors across the full pressure span. The ±0.35 PSI (±2.38 kPa) accuracy holds over the rated temperature range, so the system-level error budget can allocate the rest of the margin to the ADC, reference drift, and mechanical hysteresis in the pressure port.
Sourcing and lifecycle
It is available to order through independent distribution; current pricing and stock levels are confirmed at quote time against an RFQ. No pin-compatible second source is documented in the Infineon XENSIV family — the analog output and absolute pressure type are specific to this variant, so a direct drop-in substitution is not guaranteed without re-validating the output transfer function.
