The IRLZ44NSTRLPBF is an N-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET from Infineon's HEXFET® series, housed in a D2PAK (TO-263) surface-mount package.
On-resistance and gate drive requirements
The device is also specified for logic-level drive with a 4 V gate threshold — useful when the gate driver rail is limited to 5 V. Gate charge totals 48 nC at 5 V, so a driver sourcing 1 A can switch the gate in under 50 ns, though the actual switching loss depends on the gate drive loop inductance and the external series resistor.
Thermal and package considerations
Input capacitance is 1700 pF at 25 V drain-source, which together with the gate charge sets the switching speed limit when driven from a high-impedance source.
This means the part is still available for existing production but is not intended for new board spins. It is ROHS3 compliant.
