11.9 mOhm at 11A — the conduction-loss floor
The IRF8707TRPBF: The 11.9 mOhm maximum on-resistance at Vgs = 10 V sets the conduction loss for a given load — at 11 A the dissipation is within the 2.5 W package power limit with adequate copper on the PCB.
9.3 nC gate charge — drive without a separate driver
The input capacitance is 760 pF at 15 V Vds — the Miller plateau is short enough that the switching loss stays manageable in a high-frequency buck converter. The ±20 V Vgs maximum gives headroom for a 12 V gate drive, but the threshold voltage is 2.35 V max at 25 µA — a logic-level drive at 4.5 V still achieves the rated Rds(on).
Active production, 8-SOIC footprint
The junction temperature range is -55 °C to 150 °C, which covers automotive under-hood and outdoor telecom enclosures.
