Gate charge and switching loss — what 191 nC means for the driver
Total gate charge is 191 nC at 10 V. A driver sourcing 1 A peak can charge the gate in about 190 ns; at 100 kHz switching frequency the average gate-drive current is roughly 19 mA, well within the capability of most half-bridge gate-drive ICs. The 10030 pF input capacitance at 50 V drain-source informs the driver's peak-current requirement for the Miller plateau.
Through-hole TO-247AC — thermal and mechanical fit
The TO-247AC through-hole package (three leads, isolated tab) is a standard footprint for high-power converters, motor drives, and uninterruptible power supplies. The 556 W power dissipation rating at case temperature requires a heatsink with adequate thermal interface — the junction-to-case thermal path is the limiting factor, not the package itself.
