80 V, 1.1 mOhm — the conduction-loss floor for high-current switching
The IPTC011N08NM5ATMA1: The 80 V drain-source voltage rating gives headroom on 48 V and 60 V bus rails, and the 408 A continuous drain current at the case (Tc) tells you the package can move serious current if the thermal path is right.
Gate charge and switching — 223 nC at 10 V
Total gate charge Qg is 223 nC at 10 V. The input capacitance Ciss is 17000 pF at 40 V Vds, so the driver sees a capacitive load that sets the switching edge rate. The 3.8 V maximum gate threshold at 280 µA drain current means the device is fully enhanced by 6 V logic, but the Rds(on) is specified at 10 V for the lowest resistance. If you drive from a 5 V rail, expect higher on-resistance — the datasheet curve will show the multiplier.
Package and thermal — 16-PowerSOP module
The 16-PowerSOP module (PG-HDSOP-16-2) is a surface-mount package designed for low-inductance, high-current switching. The 375 W power dissipation at the case (Tc) is achievable only with an adequate heatsink or forced airflow; the 3.8 W at ambient (Ta) is the free-air limit. Store the reels dry — the package is moisture-sensitive, and a bake before reflow may be needed if the seal is broken.
