Single-channel high-side switch with 80 mOhm Rds(on)
The Infineon IPS7071GTRPBF is a single-channel, high-side N-channel power switch in an 8-SOIC package, designed for general-purpose on/off switching of resistive and inductive loads. It integrates current limiting, open-load detection, and over-temperature protection, reducing external component count. The typical on-resistance of 80 mOhm keeps conduction losses manageable at the 1.5 A maximum continuous output.
Load voltage range and temperature grade
The switch operates with a load voltage from 6 V to 35 V. No external Vcc supply is needed — the switch is self-powered from the load.
Fault protection and auto-restart
Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting, open-load detection, and over-temperature shutdown. The auto-restart feature allows the switch to re-enable after a fault condition clears, which is useful for transient overloads in motor or lamp loads. The input is non-inverting and the interface is a simple on/off control.
