That means Infineon has stopped production, and no further factory orders are accepted. For any production run beyond existing stock, the BOM needs a replacement part or a last-time-buy lot sourced through independent distribution.
What it is: a protected low-side switch
The IPS041LTR is a single-channel low-side power switch from Infineon's IPS041 family. It drives resistive, inductive, or lamp loads up to 750 mA at 35 V, with a typical on-resistance of 370 mOhm. The input is non-inverting, and the switch turns on with a logic-high signal — no Vcc supply rail is needed for the control side.
Protection features reduce external BOM
Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown. These features let the switch survive a shorted load or an overcurrent event without an external sense resistor or fuse, saving board space and cost.
