Low-side switch with 1.8A output and 130 mOhm on-resistance
The Infineon IPS021S is a single-channel low-side N-channel power switch in a D2PAK (TO-263) surface-mount package. It delivers up to 1.8 A continuous output current with a typical on-resistance of 130 mOhm, making it suited for driving resistive and inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, and lamps in 12 V and 24 V automotive and industrial systems. The switch operates from a load voltage up to 35 V and does not require a separate Vcc supply — the gate drive is self-supplied from the load pin. Input is non-inverting logic-level On/Off control, with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio.
Built-in fault protections and wide temperature range
Integrated fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown, which guard the switch and the load against short circuits and thermal runaway without external sense components.
