The IPL60R060CFD7AUMA1 is an N-channel MOSFET from Infineon's CoolMOS™ CFD7 series, rated at 600 V drain-source and 40 A continuous drain current at a 25°C case temperature.

Gate charge and switching performance

A total gate charge of 79 nC at 10 V means the gate driver must supply about 7.9 mA per 100 kHz of switching frequency (Qg × fsw). The input capacitance is 3193 pF at 400 V drain-source — this is the capacitive load the driver sees during the Miller plateau. For a typical 100 kHz hard-switched PFC stage, a driver with at least 2 A peak source/sink capability will keep the switching edges clean.
