600 V CoolMOS CE in a TO-252 — the workhorse for flyback and PFC stages
It comes in the PG-TO252-2 (DPak) surface-mount package, a common footprint for medium-power offline converters, LED drivers, and auxiliary power supplies where board space is tight but thermal performance still matters.
Gate charge and switching — 32 nC keeps the driver happy
Total gate charge is 32 nC at 10 V, which means a typical gate driver delivering 1 A peak can switch this FET in under 50 ns. That keeps cross-conduction losses low in a 65–100 kHz flyback or PFC stage. The 700 pF input capacitance at 100 V drain bias confirms the gate drive isn't a heavy load — a small-signal MOSFET driver or a PWM controller totem-pole output handles it without extra buffering.
Junction temperature range — industrial and automotive capable
Above 100°C junction the Rds(on) roughly doubles per the CoolMOS CE normalised curve — budget the thermal margin accordingly in a 12 W enclosed-supply design.
