Gate charge and switching speed budget
Total gate charge is 68 nC at 10 V gate drive. For a 100 kHz switching frequency, the average gate-drive current is 6.8 mA — well within a standard driver's capability. The 5300 pF input capacitance at 75 V drain bias gives a rough Miller plateau charge; pair it with a driver that can source and sink at least 2 A to keep switching edges clean and cross-conduction low.
175 °C junction — thermal headroom for sealed enclosures
The 250 W power dissipation at case temperature assumes a low-Rth heatsink; derate above 25 °C per the datasheet's thermal curve.
Package and footprint — TO-263-7 with exposed tab
The 0.50 mm lead pitch requires a standard footprint; the tab's solder-paste coverage should be at least 50 % to avoid voids under reflow.
