Flyback converter core specs
The ICE3AR0680JZXKLA1: This is an 800V breakdown offline flyback switcher with an integrated CoolMOS power MOSFET, switching at 100 kHz and delivering up to 82 W in an isolated topology. The 75% maximum duty cycle and 10.5V to 27V Vcc range give the designer headroom for universal AC input designs (85–265 VAC) without a separate bias winding.
Built-in protection reduces external BOM
Over-load, over-temperature, and over-voltage fault protection are integrated — no external sense resistor or OVP comparator needed for basic protection. The 17 V start-up threshold means the IC waits until the bulk cap charges high enough before beginning switching, preventing hiccup on a weak input.
Through-hole PG-DIP-7-1 package
Mounted in an 8-pin DIP footprint (0.300-inch row spacing, 7 leads populated), the PG-DIP-7-1 package is through-hole — hand-solderable in prototype runs and easy to rework in production. The junction temperature range spans -40°C to 150°C, covering industrial enclosures and hot ambient conditions without forced air.
