40 V N-channel from the OptiMOS™ 6 family
The Infineon IAUA250N04S6N005AUMA1 is an N-channel power MOSFET built on the OptiMOS™ 6 trench technology. It is rated for a drain-source voltage of 40 V and delivers a maximum continuous drain current of 62 A at 25 °C case temperature. The key on-resistance figure is 0.55 mOhm at 100 A with a 10 V gate drive, which keeps conduction losses low in high-current paths like battery management, motor drives, and DC-DC converters. The device is housed in a PG-HSOF-5-5 surface-mount package with an exposed pad for thermal transfer to the PCB.
Temperature range and deployment environment
The operating junction temperature range of -55 °C to 175 °C qualifies this MOSFET for under-hood automotive, industrial motor drives, and outdoor telecom power supplies where ambient heat and load cycling are severe. The 175 °C maximum is a genuine design margin for fault conditions or sustained high-current operation, but the thermal resistance from junction to case must be managed with a good PCB thermal pad and vias to keep the die temperature within the safe operating area.
