256Kbit FRAM with SPI — what it replaces on the BOM
The Cypress FM25V02A-G is a 256Kbit non-volatile FRAM (Ferroelectric RAM) organized as 32K x 8 bits, accessed over an SPI bus at up to 40 MHz. Unlike serial EEPROM or battery-backed SRAM, FRAM writes instantly with no write-cycle delay and endures 1e14 read/write cycles — effectively unlimited for most data-logging and configuration-storage applications. The 2V to 3.6V supply range lets it sit on either a 3.3V or 2.5V rail without a regulator tap.
Industrial temperature and 8-SOIC footprint
Tube shipment means the parts arrive aligned for pick-and-place without reel handling — fine for prototype builds and low-volume production.
