4 Kbit FRAM with SPI — non-volatile, fast writes, no wear limit
The Infineon FM25L04B-GTR is a 4 Kbit non-volatile FRAM (Ferroelectric RAM) organized as 512 x 8 bits, accessed via an SPI interface at clock frequencies up to 20 MHz. FRAM technology combines the non-volatility of EEPROM with write speeds and endurance that eliminate the sector-erase delay and 1 million-cycle ceiling typical of serial EEPROM — writes complete in the bus cycle with no page-buffer staging, and endurance is effectively unlimited for field-data logging or parameter storage.
