The FM25CL64B-GTR is a 64Kbit ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) organized as 8K x 8, communicating over an SPI bus at up to 20 MHz. Unlike EEPROM, FRAM writes at bus speed with no page-buffer or erase cycle — each byte is written in a single SPI transaction, so the write time is deterministic and effectively zero for the host. Supply range is 2.7 V to 3.65 V, and the device is specified across the full industrial temperature band of -40°C to +85°C. The 8-SOIC package (3.90 mm body width) is a common footprint that drops into existing SPI memory sockets without board changes.

At 20 MHz SPI clock, a full 64Kbit read or write completes in roughly 3.2 ms (ignoring command overhead). FRAM endurance is effectively unlimited for data-logging and parameter-storage applications — the write cycles are not wear-limited like flash or EEPROM, so the part can be written to continuously without tracking sector wear.
